Our deep embedded engineering experience and connected device expertise has played a key role in the development of innovative new products and services for leading medical device vendors and healthcare providers. We’ve helped to enable a new generation of connected medical devices and the creation of innovative mobile applications.
Our project experience includes the design, development and testing of software sensors and components for remote health and well-being monitoring devices, as well as health informatics, patient registration systems and system consultancy. Our expertise includes 3D imaging techniques, device driver development, sensor integration, embedded component development conforming to domain-specific standards, together with HL7 patient and medical data exchange systems.
We collaborate with health and well-being device manufacturers who develop solutions to IEC62304 and IEC60601 standards. We support a range of hardware (Atom, ARM) and software platforms including RTOSs, Linux and Android and have helped customers with their architectural analysis, software component selection and even BOM analysis, as well as core development and automated product testing. Specific expertise areas include Bluetooth stack integration, custom Android implementations and back-end platform for push delivery of messaging, social networking and appointment update services.
We leverage our semiconductor and embedded systems experience to develop image processing software, for example for positioning a dermatological medical probe using a camera with stereo vision using 3D geometry and OpenCV for skin feature analysis. We also provide innovative visualisation techniques of spatial data specifically for embedded devices, where we apply our hardware video acceleration and extensive low-level graphics experience to obtain optimum results in constrained systems.
We work with medical and clinician service providers to develop custom systems that fulfil ICD-10 compliance across all platforms, including both back-end systems functionality (managing ICD-10 database interaction and electronic verification system connectivity) as well as front-end application development, including validation and usability services fulfilling relevant applicable standards.
Our experience includes EHR service platform development using .Net, C#, SQL database and IIS services between medical laboratories, together with billing solutions/integration, image and document management and custom API development.
With vast experience across multiple platforms, systems, frameworks, end-to-end solutions and deployments for numerous customers, we’re well-positioned to perform or contribute to critical analysis and review of early conceptual product development phases. We’re an ARM Connected Community member and part of the ARM OpenGL / ES Working Group. We have worked with ARM for a number of years and have particular expertise in the development of Mali GPU graphics. In early 2013 we were invited to join the ARM Connected Community, enabling us to share our knowledge and expertise, as well as access resources that help us to create even more innovative solutions.

We have been an Intel IoT Solutions Alliance Affiliate Member since 2011. Membership gives us early access to roadmaps, test platforms, and design support for solutions based on the latest Intel processors.

We’ve been a member of the Khronos Group since 2013, contributing to the development of Khronos API specifications and helping to accelerate the delivery of their cutting-edge 3D graphics, compute and vision platforms through early access to specification drafts and conformance tests.
