Our customer was an AIM market listed UK and International company, providing smart energy solutions for both the utility and lighting markets. The company was an UK Energy Innovation award winner for their innovative end-to-end solutions that connect millions of devices allowing bidirectional communication with the end customer.
Mobica was invited for a long-term cooperation to rebuild the key product. It suffered from old UX deficiencies and requires a brand new head-end system to enable the efficient administration of the meters networks database, which has increased from 50k to 1M.
The developed smart metering system has allowed the client to offer efficient, multi-functional administration and expand into emerging markets in India, China, Thailand, Sub-Saharan Africa, Brazil and the Middle East. The client’s solution becomes very attractive to the international market because the technology meets energy requirements of emerging markets, enabling power savings, lowering operating costs and reducing energy losses, which is critical in these economies.
